Your Advocate for Criminal Defense, DUI, and Family Law
Grover “Beau” Seaton is the kind of attorney people call when everything feels urgent and uncertain.
He pairs straight talk with steady guidance, digs into the facts with relentless preparation, and keeps clients in the loop from day one.
Whether you’re staring down a criminal charge, navigating a DUI, or working through a sensitive family matter, Beau’s promise is simple: you will understand your options, you will be treated with respect, and you will have a clear strategy for the road ahead.
Rooted in the Lowcountry
Beau was raised in the Lowcountry and learned early what it means to show up for people.
His father, Grover C. Seaton III, practiced law locally and set an example that stuck—serve your community, do the work thoroughly, and always pick up the phone.
That mindset, combined with Beau’s love of history and the courtroom, led him from the College of Charleston to the University of South Carolina School of Law and ultimately into a career where he’s most at home: advocating in front of a judge and jury.
Who He Serves
Based in Moncks Corner, Beau represents clients across South Carolina, with a primary focus on Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties.
He defends people facing serious felony and misdemeanor charges—everything from violent crimes and drug offenses to theft, probation violations, and DUI.
In Family Court, he helps clients protect what matters most in cases involving custody, visitation, support, DSS actions, and juvenile matters.
He also handles select personal injury, workers’ compensation, and business disputes where a practical, courtroom-tested approach can make a real difference.
How He Works
- Listen first. Beau starts with your story, not a script. He wants to know what happened, what’s keeping you up at night, and what “success” looks like for you.
- Build the plan. Every case gets a tailored strategy—investigation, motions practice, negotiations, or trial—mapped out in plain English so you know the why behind every step.
- Communicate clearly. You’ll get proactive updates and realistic expectations. No jargon, no surprises, no disappearing acts.
- Fight smart. Preparation is Beau’s edge. He’s meticulous with discovery, ruthless about timelines, and strategic about when to negotiate and when to try a case.

Courtroom Experience
Beau has defended clients in high-stakes criminal cases, including serious felonies, and he’s equally comfortable handling the day-to-day battles that decide outcomes—bond hearings, preliminary hearings, suppression motions, and plea negotiations.
In Family Court, he understands both the legal standards and the human dynamics that drive results, helping clients keep conflict low and stakes clear while protecting their rights and their children’s best interests.
Community & Life Outside the Office
When he isn’t in court or meeting with clients, you’ll likely find Beau near the water with friends, on a local golf course, or on a Lowcountry trail with his mountain bike—recharging so he can bring fresh focus to the next case.
He believes that good lawyers never stop learning and that steady routines—such as reading, preparation, and time outdoors—make better advocates.

What Clients Notice
- Approachable and direct. He explains your options and his recommendations in a way that makes sense.
- Responsive. Calls and texts are returned promptly; you’ll never wonder what’s happening with your case.
- Prepared. Every hearing, every filing, every meeting has a purpose and a plan.
- Unflinching. Tough facts don’t rattle him; they sharpen his focus.
Representative Matters
- Defended clients facing violent and non-violent felony charges, guiding them through bond hearings, negotiations, and, when necessary, jury trial.
- Represented individuals in Family Court on custody, visitation, and support matters, with an emphasis on crafting workable, long-term parenting plans.
- Advised clients in DSS and juvenile proceedings, protecting both legal rights and future opportunities.
- Handled select personal injury and workers’ compensation claims, coordinating medical documentation and benefits strategy to move cases forward efficiently.
(Every case is different. Results depend on the facts and law of each matter.)
